The United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office Korea (UNIDO ITPO Korea) supported the Uzbekistan delegation's participation in the Bio Korea 2024 exhibition from May 8th to 10th. Marking its 19th anniversary this year, Bio Korea is one of South Korea's leading exhibitions in the health industry. This year, Bio Korea 2024 was held at COEX under the theme 'The Future of Biotechnology Innovation and Global Collaboration'.
The delegation, including Shahlo Turdikulova, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited South Korea from May 7th to May 10th. During the visit, the delegates attended the event, seeking potential partner organizations and universities to be involved in the upcoming bio-industrial park in Uzbekistan, and networking with innovative companies that participated in the exhibition.
Specifically, the delegation held meaningful discussions with ITPO Korea regarding support for the operation of the Uzbekistan pavilion during BIO Korea 2025, cooperating in establishing a biotech industrial park in Uzbekistan, and support for connecting Korean partners to build research facilities to improve water quality. ITPO Korea will remain committed to supporting the sustainable industrial development of Uzbekistan through various programmes.
